As Christmas approaches, I always bear in mind these two Golden Rules. Although in truth, they're good for any time of the year, taken from Bill W's book,'As Bill Sees It',

'There are only two sins in recovery,

1. To interfere with anothers recovery,

2. To interfere with your own recovery.'

Which in turn suggests to me that the ultimate sin, is to do both....either way, you won't find these on the motto of a Christmas cracker, you will find them if you place your sobriety above all, increasing the opportunity to enjoy the true spirit of not only Christmas but life in recovery itself...a sobering thought in itself.
