Wow, that's incredible! Compelling esh to share with his clients........

Golden Gate incidents remind me of the man who started Victoria Secret stores, selling them to another entrepreneur for 1 million dollars 5 years after startup. He underestimated a fair price.........Less than 20 years later the chain had sales of over 1 billion dollars.

The selling founder jumped from the bridge in 1993 committing suicide.

the movie 'The Bridge' is an amazing documentary about the Golden Gate bridge.

thank you for sharing this, zjw. i lost a friend recently to suicide - it seems he tried to get help but the combination of booze and medication was deadly. he died alone and in great pain.

i've heard it said that suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. i don't know about the temporary part, but the permanence of it is terrifying. it's important to discuss it.

After quitting recently, the suicidal thoughts went down by like 98%. Amazing huh?

RESET....I'm so glad this happened for you. I too didn't care whether I lived or died for many years until getting sober 5 months ago. Alcohol does so much emotional and mental damage and a diseased perspective.

I believe that my drinking was a form of slow suicide...glad that I decided to live instead.

Well I believe drinking is also a kind of suicide unless you are not an addict.

Just watched the documentary. Very powerful. I would recommend being in a strong state of mind if you choose to watch it.

Thanks for sharing this story. I thought it was interesting how he said he had second thoughts as soon as his fingers left the railing. I think that goes to show that maybe people who attempt/commit suicide really don't want to die but feel like that is the only option at the time. I'm glad he lived and got help.
