And we love our turtle, and hummingbirds.

Was my mothers favourite. She would go on trips to places they hang. Hummingbirds that is.

How are you?

I love you people, too :-) That's the second time today you've made me let out some noise/exclamation to release the good vibes, Trach. Kind of like a cross between 'awwww' and 'ohhhhhh' - don't know how to spell it....maybe it's "oohhhwwww" Yeah, that's it. Finishes with a 'w', for sure :-)

Yeah, Dee is like that. Goes around torching things just for the sheer hell of it. Ruining everybody's fun :-)

Hey, we have a bird in New Zealand called 'Fantail'. It is the very bird depicted in Fantail's avatar....she spent some time in New Zealand and fell in love with them. They are not 'sons of bitches' (Cow's description of the Hummer) at all - quite the opposite. They are the friendliest, cutest wee things. They come very close. They are very curious, and make the sweetest little 'beeping' sound. I'll see if I can post a picture.....

In the first clip the fantail is making (what I call) its 'beeping' sound....which it tends to do when it's checking people out, it seems.

In the second clip you get to hear a better range of their song. They can actually sing quite beautifully.

If you're not bored with New Zealand Fantails by that stage....there's a third clip where someone has encountered one on their back lawn. They're inquisitive about people, for some reason.....

Thanks for the videos TS, I love those little guys! I saw some beautiful paper bird models at an arboretum the other day and was thinking of making myself a fantail (of course, my artistic abilities aren't really up to par, so heartbreak may lay ahead).

Oh wow - an origami fantail would be exquisite! I used to love origami when I was a child. We had a programme on t.v. and every day I would get my paper ready, but after about 6 folds I couldn't keep up with the Japanese woman who was providing the example. It was crushing....every day!!!

Guys.....you have to watch this 2 minute video if you get the chance.....
