Nice to hear from Venecia and also advbike, amazing people... Yes I was here a couple of years ago during a very testing period indeed.
Thanks Sean, congratulations, and great to see your post here. That's a great bit of advice also, about changing one's circumstances when necessary. I've been caught up in a bit of a rut myself, and think it's time for me to make a change. I tend to do just what you mention - internalize things too much and try to change myself, instead of my situation. Good piece of advice. Nonetheless, life's sure an adventure, isn't it? Keep up the good work!

Best to you my friend.

Cheers,

Hi advbike, indeed our surroundings can affect us in subtle ways we're scarcely aware of. I currently have a job similar to the one that caused me such grief a year or so back, though with a different ambiance which I do think is going to be fine.

But should it become too difficult I'll just get up and leave. Sometimes that's not something you want to do but the point may come when you have to see the wider picture and make a decision. The bastards!

I send you a PM.

Me in Wales a few weeks ago-

Wow Sean.. that's a great pic, in a gorgeous setting.. and you're looking sharp and healthy my man... and thanks, I got your PM.

Where was that pic taken? I'm part Welsh and hoping to get there in the next couple of years. I want to go there.. to that place, lol.

Cheers,

Hello there, it was near the base of the main hike up to Mount Snowdon, highest mountain in Wales.

It's only about 1000 metres but still has to be taken seriously and I didn't attempt it- I'm happy just to admire and look on!

I'm really happy for you.

And, your story gives me hope.

PS - oh, I love that picture of you in Wales! Wales is one of my most favourite places in the world, though I've only been there once. I want to go back.

Sincere thanks to all you folks, and indeed it gets easier as time ticks by.

Staying sober means more to me than I can say, but here is my main place to say it!
