Ha ha!! Sounds like swallows if you get near their nest. Agro little shites. They scare the crap out of me with their crazy swooping, but you have to admire them for it :-)

Hummers are totally feisty! There is a bitchy female who comes to our back deck to feed and she kicks all the other hummingbird's tail feathers if they try to feed there. There's four of those little flowery spigot thingies...you'd think she'd be willing to share.

Hey Everybody! I'm way behind in the conversation so I'm just going to tackle the latter half. We have tons of hummingbirds and they are sneaky and mean to each other. All they want is the juice all to themselves. We have a couple of feeders and sometimes there are so many that they almost look like they are in line waiting for one of the feeding spots to open up. If they wait to long they swoop in and push the other away. And they are lazy... they always have to land on the foot rests. They rarely hover. Overall, very cool and entertaining to watch.
Poor Cow... sorry you got smoked out.

And very soon now, the hummingbirds will leave. They'll fly all the way across the Gulf of Mexico. Nonstop. Amazing little critters.

With mild weather, we gets hummies all year round, Trach, but is different ones in summer than winter. Is actual more in winter, and they super badass. Summers one's a bit more chill.

Puff, where you been?!
