Well done Ared. And it will keep getting easier. Thanks for letting us know your progress. You don't know how much help that is to me, and I'm sure it is to many others reading here, especially those hundreds who haven't registered yet, and are on the brink of starting a new life like you are.

What do you recon they should do Ared?

Well done matey.

Hi Ared,
That demon is an irrational little booger. Kick him out of your head...set him on the table...and commence to beat the crap out of him.

Good job Ared!!! you hang in there,Im at almost 2 weeks of Sobriety and that darn devil pops in my head too,but I really want this!!! I keep looking back at how miserable I was and I tell myself I'd rather be in some discomfort or a little misery right now sober than in total misery drinking!!! one day at a time....that's what's working for me.

Well Deg, I drank very heavily and daily for over 3 years, and I finally just said "I've had it" and I went to my mom and doc and asked for help.........The only thing I suggest to others is to pick themeselves up by their boot straps (easier said that done, I know, been there many times) and just give it a shot! Granted, it's in no way easy for me right now, but I'm giving it all I can. Different things work for different people, so anyone should try any avenue when possible. But, I know I would not be able to go through the withdrawals without the Librium medication that my doc gave me to ease the withdrawal symptoms, it has been a godsend for me so far.

Sandy, I love your first response- put that little devil on the table and beat the crap out of him....that is so funny and such good advice.
Ared- hang in there kiddo- it is worth it. We care and are there for you! I will say a prayer for you.

I'm on day 6 now, feeling a little bit better day by day, except for the hurricane that's pounding us in Florida right now!
