Hmm.. my doc gave me some anti anxiety meds.. none by those names u listed.. some weird long name.. doc said they were similiar to zanax.. i dont take them too often though.. u can have withdraws from them? I only have 0.5 mg ones
Hmm, those are the names they go by, but on a prescription bottle they will have their drug name, like lorazepam (attivan) diazepam (valium), clonazepam (klonopin) or alprazolam (xanax).
My doctor prescribed me 1mg attivan and I did take it a couple months ago when I first went through my anxiety and it didn' t help that much, just knocked me out.
My doctor then prescribed me klonopin at 0.5mg which I haven't tried. I'm sort of saving those as a "break in case of emergency" in case I have another debilitating panic attack like I would when I first sobered up.

I felt better as the day went on. More resigned. Convalescent. Clean, empty, alone, with a headache. Quiet. The image of the lonely middle aged man I always knew I'd become. I always knew I'd fail to find a place in the world, but I turned out resourceful and functional in some ways.

I'm only on day 15.. my sleep started bad and got worse. I have trouble with RLS.. if it takes me more than 20 minutes to fall asleep it sets in and I have a terrible night. The meds for it make me feel foggy and I didn't get sober to feel drugged.
I made it 100 days this spring and sleep was better but still not good. Without the RLS things would be in much better shape, I could at least relax and meditate while I lay awake.
I'm just going to forge ahead. I was a drunk for 20+ years, it's going to take a while. The night sweats are annoying but already easing off. I am avoiding sugar like the plague, even drinking my morning coffee black these days. Helps some but not a total solution.
