Two weeks

Two weeks and one day since my last drink. I'm feeling pretty good and thinking I can drink socially. Maybe a glass of wine or two or a couple of beers here and there. And I could safely do this. For a time.

Then it will spiral out of control again and I'll end up sick again. I really need to keep reminding myself of this when I think I can have a glass or 2.

Congrats on 2 weeks!! I "forgot" I was an alcoholic after 20 months. Oops. I accomplished this by completely ignoring the 136 things that I can remember which make me an alcoholic and holding on, with a chokehold to 1 aspect that I was sure made me a normie. I was wrong but I'm back. 30 days today.

I'm sure most of you have heard this but it reminds me of the Robert Downey Jr. quip, "sometimes I think about having a glass of wine with dinner, then I remember I have plans for Christmas."

Good job on keeping sober. For me i noticed it truly is one day at a time. I have to just concentrate on staying sober each day...cuz i never know when some huge craving will hit me. And alcohol for sale is just everywhere. I find myself constantly noticing beer signs. When i go into the corner store for bread or something..i always glance at their giant beer cooler. And i know i could drink every can and bottle they have. That other saying i think is so true too....one drink is too many and a thousand is never enough. Keep up your good work! I sure know it can be difficult.
