After 15 years of heavy drinking I decided I had enough of alcohol and came here to SR.

Thanks, I believe I will.
I have to say it's been a fight at times, especially the first 3 months but every day it gets better.
For anyone just beginning or newer to sobriety, keep with it, don't give up and keep trying! Like you have read here on SR, it gets better, you get better!
It can be a slow process though, I'm a little over a year in and I still have some anxiety and stomach issues from drinking hard all those years but it gets better every day.
I've really struggled with being patient but being here has helped me tremendously!
