Thanks Shabby!
I read about this and also know from experience, you don't even know when it's over. Could go on for months or years.
Let's hope that isn't the case.

Hats off to you, Sleepie. Seriously. That is no mean feat. They're evil little buggers, I reckon. I mean I totally get it, I've used them myself for insomnia and anxiety, but thankfully have never taken (read, had access to) enough to get addicted. There by the grace of God.....

You are doing so well :-)

I read up a bit on benzos as I've never had them and I didn't get how you were suffering so much.

Seems like they're the worst thing ever invented! I feel for you.

But you're doing so well! Keep it going and once you're done with withdrawals, you'll never have to do it again

I hope the magnesium works out i've read simlier stuff. It never worked for me but sometimes our bodies are deficient in one thing and once we figure that out BAM things start working out better. I've found this to be true for me with a few things I could have a bunch of symptoms realize i might be short of one particular item or another I start supplementing or eating foods High in that and wala i start to feel better. It can be that simple sometimes.

Those symptoms sound absolutely awful. I hope that the magnesium works well, sweet sleepie.

This will eventually (I know, 'eventually' and the uncertainty it brings with it can be grueling) be behind you and, once in your rearview mirror, you will be free - sweet.

Hi sleepie...you are almost there....

You have suffered very hard this time and when you are off this taper you will remember...

I am still suffering the effects after 4 months clean from my 13 years of steady drinking.

When we feel better...we better not forget the suffering..or be doomed to suffer again....this time even worse....

No thanks...I'll pass...had my fill of suffering from my escapades...

Just remember and know it has gotten better each day...

thanks guys!
13 years daily heavy drinking here too
4 months. D122Y...? and I have benzos in the mix, I fear I will never be the same.
At least I don't have to do anything today
It is very annoying though, I shower and am fresh and clean then it's sweats again, so disgusting. And something about what I call "panic sweat" is extra gross.
I hope I will look/feel human again someday.

It will pass. It is rare for benzo post acute benzo withdrawal to set in. It happens, but it is rare.

You are in acute withdrawal, not post withdrawal, so I would suggest you focus on that and leave fear of the future for some other time. Worrying that you will suffer for months after your last dose or years isn't fruitful, is very rare, and is fueling the anxiety you feel now.

I was a hot mess for a couple of months, and I do protest loudly about my suffering at six months, etc., but in truth I could look at where I was at at month three and see significant improvement from month one.

I put my personal experience at the extreme end of the spectrum, and have great hope that you jumping off at one milligram will result in a few days of discomfort followed my measurable progress each week.

You are doing fantastic.
