Smile A Saturday thread

Hi all... still on my path of alcohol abstinence and benzo taper. So yes it has been a bit lonely and I'd love to hear about your plans today. Today we are going to see "The Gift", in a bit.

What sober activities are you all doing today?

And Happy Caturday my cat people!

Good for you sleepie to get out and see a movie, you will have to report back with a critique of it... I haven't heard of it before.

As for me, doing some reading related to self-improvement, reading is what I really love to do.

Working on the marketing of my online business... love doing this.

We are having a BBQ with my immediate family - no alcohol at it.

Playing a few board or card games with the family.. my kids love the old fashion games. Love this about them.

Doing about 1/2 housework - the house seem so clean not that I am feeling great in my sober World.

I hope you have a great time at the movie sleepie!

Hi guys the movie was ok.
I think it would be a good rental, interesting enough but I kept thinking of other directors that would have done something fun with it or upped it a notch.
Good to hear from you all

Glad the movie was okay Sleepie... I haven't been to a movie at the theater for years and years... I usually just rent (not so much anymore) or Netflix.

What do you have planned for this evening?

I am just going to start the BBQ and after supper probably watch something on TV and read before bed. People would think that isn't too exciting, but for me, it's perfect. I have been loving living in a mellow, sober World.

A little late to the thread but Happy Caturday to you, sleepie!! I am a catless crazy cat lady!!! I can't remember if I've told you that.

My husband and I are painting our apartment so today we painted one of the really hard to paint walls (nubly concrete) and after about 2 good hours of painting we decided we hated the colour!! So we cut our losses, went and bought a new colour and will start fresh again tomorrow. We ain't no youngsters either, LOL!

I will have to google the movie, as I haven't heard of it.

I've had a quiet day with my elderly dogs

This morning I went to the Farmer's market and bought heirloom yellow peppers, summer squash, and bi-color sweet corn.

After that, a yoga class and a nap with dogs piled all around me

Jr. Had baseball practice. I worked out in bjj. Sweated like a pig.

Ate some healthy stuff. Stretching a bit, currently watching a cool movie and readin SR.

Looking forward to tonight. Maybe a jog at the new gym here in Vegas. Then good food and movies tonight.

I'm not drinking today. Booze brain denied again.

Sounds like a good Saturday guys
I watched an awful interview between Sarah Palin and Trump.
Then I guess I was wiped out? I fell asleep pretty hard for 2.5 hours.
And I listened to some stories on youtube.

So my Friday night and Saturday morning was spent keeping my friend out of jail for a dui accident (nobody hurt thankfully). So yeah, wasn't hard to keep myself motivated not to drink.

Hi sleepie.
my evening is sort of subdued, as the house is clean, cats and people fed, and am going to go to bed and read soon.
I did watch some 'Keeping Up Appearances' on BBC. I do love that silly show.. Hyacinth makes me think of my sister and brother in law I hope I don't remind them of Daisy or Rose

I loved Train wreck. Vacation was also much better than I thought it would be. Some really funny parts.

Hi Della! I will have to see "Vacation" I am out of the loop, I don't think I've heard of it... there was a preview too for a film titled "Black Mass" with Johnny Depp that looked really good, his appearance was very altered.
