Pregnant and guilty
Ive been trying to get sober for a year now, and the longest I've gone is 5 months. I may be pregnant now and of course I'll do everything possible to not drink.
Is it selfish/wrong to feel like even though I will be sober for the next 9 months, I didn't do it on my own? I would feel like I'm not actually strong enough to stay sober on my own.?

Don't fix your eyes on the "prize" in nine months. Just take one day at a time. Study yourself. Think about what makes you drink. Avail yourself of all the assistance that's out there--reading and posting on SR is a great start.

If you are sober the next nine months that means you have been sober for nine months and that you did it on your own volition. You were also sober for 5 months recently on your own, that's nothing to sneeze at either. And you'll have plenty of time to work on a plan for long term when the time comes..don't think too far into the future.
