3 weeks w no booze. Physically, you are free. Right? Mental work now. My anxiety was crazy for the first 2 months. This site and Google searches saved my life.

Congratulations on three weeks sleepie. Trying different things to ease anxiety will hopefully help. As for myself I have very bad anxiety and usually take a bath in a candle lite bathroom and then close my eyes and relax. You will fill better and better the more sober time you have.

Hope you have a super Saturday

Unfortunately, I don't think I will ever be physically free.

I am sure to have withdrawals if I overdo it. I wonder if after a year I will be the same, I read about kindling and I am pretty sure that's what I have. I can count on withdrawals every time I drink now. Mere hangovers were a thing of the past a long, long time ago.
Like others, I took benzos, either prescribed or not, to mask the withdrawals.
It terrifies me to think what I've done to myself.
I only tell of these experiences so that maybe someone else can read it and know they are not alone.

If you don't drink, you are free.
