Nope

Been a LONG TIME lurker
I was more then 2 and a half years sober until 4 hours ago. Wife and kids out of town, "why not" Bought a bottle, had a few pulls just to see if I was missing something. I honestly have had very little difficulty watching friends and family drink... But always though I was the odd man out (a bit outside the fun). Had a more drinks. Don't NEED to feel like this. Strange feelings, a bit of guilt but more relief that I'm not getting another tomorrow:
Thoughts?

Many years ago I used to make fun of the guys who played dungeons and dragons. I imagine they must have made fun of me for being a pompous drunk at times. Now, I don't make fun of anything or anybody. I no longer drink, and still, I'll never understand dungeons and dragons or the desire to play it.

And that's okay. You don't have to have a drink to enjoy life. And you don't have to understand why others still drink.

I am now the oddball guy who doesn't drink.

Welcome to the posting side of things Swifty. My thoughts ( since you asked...)

1. Glad you are here posting about a renewed sober resolve rather than at the tail end of a bender. Hope you dumped the rest of the bottle.

2. What happened that made you think buying a bottle would be an acceptable option for you? Perhaps you need to revisit your plan/commitment?

3. Now that you have joined as posting member, keep it up! Join a monthly thread...it's a great way to build up some virtual fellowship of others just like you, and being here daily gives some accountability as well.
