Questions?

Does day 1 start with hangover?

When does hangover turn into withdrawal?

When do withdrawals start?

What are the sighs to beaware off, before getting medical help?

Hi Tumble

I'm going to cut to your most important question -if you feel unwell or concerned at all - if you don't feel 'right'.... then it's a good idea to get checked out - even if you go to the local ER.

It's better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks Dee.

I feel ok. Didn't wake up feeling bad. But have day off and thinking too much...!

I've started drinking a bottle of wine a night again and want to stop but so scared of withdrawal I've become obsessed by them.
Got blood pressure monitor and that's all fine but can't so thinking about it.

I agree with D a trip to your local ER or book an apt with your Dr to get help with WD really helps

for me within a few hours of my last drink i was already starting to expierience withdrawel symptoms by the following morning I generally had withdrawel and hangover at the same time.

But I think others are right the min things start to get sketchy its best to go to the doctor / ER. Unlike other drugs quiting booze can kill you. I tapered for a few days hopeing that would help me out. I dunno if it did or if it didnt I got lucky while the first week or 2 where hard I managed to avoid anything too scary.

Read up on DT's

Medscape: Medscape Access

When you hit the above situations I'd say get to the ER!

My pattern of drinking is evenings only. So I feel ok now but would they start tonight if was going to get them?

I think I've been drinking a bottle a night which is 8.6 units.

Could this still be dangerous?

You are asking us questions we can't answer. And even if we did they probably wouldn't end your obsession and worry.

See a doctor, quit under supervision. Stay quit and you'll never have to obsess over withdrawals again. Ever.

Our addicted voices want us to fear withdrawal, so we keep drinking instead. See a doctor if you are concerned, or stop and take your chances, but to stop you gotta stop, and there is no way I've ever found or heard of to make withdrawal comfy and symptom-free. Fortunately it does not generally last long.

I'd agree with the others Tumble. You've posted about this topic multiple times in the past too - we can't give you medical advice. If you are concerned about withdrawals being severe, you should either see a doctor or visit an alcohol/drug counselor. Either of them can assess your health and formulate a plan to help you detox safely.
