Need some PAWS friends

Hi everybody
I hope your all doing ok today .
I'm trying to find a few people on here to become closer friends with me . I'm looking for people that are having a hard time during sobriety from PAWS symptoms to talk to .

I find talking to people going through the same is the best help possible . Better help than any therapist or doctor .

I have met a wonderfull girl on this site whos 5 months ahead of me in sobriety and has been through awful paws . We message each other most days and it helps so so much .

I'm yet to find sombody on this site that has been as bad physically as me in my sober journey but I'm still hanging in at 6 months .

If any body would like a extra voice to help everyday please get in touch I can Hopfully help you as much as you can help me .

These have been my paws symptoms that occur in cycles

Insomnia ( nights and nights with no sleep )
Anxiety
Depression
Tinnitus
Panic
Paranoid
Hyperactive
Foggy head
Headaches
Brain zaps
Dizzyness
Feeling sick
Head pressure
Crying spells
Thoughts of going crazy

You can either message me here or you can messGe me on Facebook

Look up
Rob lawes ( in my profile pic I'm DJing next to my black mate ) ( so you know it's me )

I'd love to chat

Some recent posts on Newcomers Forum from people experiencing PAWS, might want to go there.

It might be a good ide to join your class thread too ? Lots of people experiencing the same highs and lows based upon quit dates.

I'd echo my previous suggestions about using mindfulness/meditation and exploring the possibility of health anxiety with your therapist. I have had many of the same symptoms you have, some of them well past my 2 year sober anniversary. All of them were a direct result of my anxiety and OCD. I have successfuly controlled it through therapy and the mindfulness practice, it was really not PAWS at all for me.

I don't belive him , today I woke with the worst headache I've ever had and that was before I was worring about anything .
I get physical symptoms then I worry , not the other way round

I didn't believe my doctor when I was told that either. Or the 2nd doctor, or the GI specialist, or the ENT, or the dermatologist, or the neuroligist. How could I possibly be having all those phyisical symptoms with no physical cause? Anxiety. As a matter of fact it was the ENT I went to see ( because of dizziness and headaches ) that pretty much sat me down and told me that I needed to see a therapist.

Not every doctor is the best doctor, but most of them aren't in the business of lying. And it's 100% true that anxiety can cause physical symptoms..even before you get anxious.

yeah i had those kinds of issues. my doc told me if i had anxiety to go find another doctor he doesnt give out those kinds of meds!

and i felt like i should go to the doctor for every little thing and there where a lot of little things!

in the end things eased up other things I learned to work with other things i'm still working on.
