Brain zaps , whooshes of doom in head ?

I'm 6 months sober , after a terrible 6 months of withdrawlal ive just had 3 weeks in a row that I've felt almost normal , panic gone , depression gone , anxiety very very low , brain fog gone , insomnia better .
The only thing I'm still getting are these strange feelings in my head .
They only last a few seconds and *** on randomly through the day .
They are very hard to describe , they feel like an electric pulse in my head , they feel like a brief dizzy feeling of doom and are very uncomfortable.
I looked up brain zaps and that's the closest I got to the strange feelings .

Has anybody else had this during protracted withdrawal?

I know you have posted many times here about neurological type symptoms and their relation to your sobriety. Brain zaps can have lot of different causes...both psychological and physical. If you've ruled out physical with your doctor, have you ever seen a therapist?

That happened to me when I weaned off Effexor. Are you switching medications, upping or lowering doses? It sounds like some type of anxiety. (I have very limited knowledge of anxiety disorders so..)

Hope you feel better soon. Could it be related to PAWs?

anxiety mate, try to pay no attention to it otherwise it will continue accept it as harmless its a sign your getting better but a strung up body can take months to reset itself, even though you feel fine in the head

Yep, little bouts of anxiety. I used to get the same thing. Started working out and taking Vitamin D. I stopped getting them after doing so. Try not to worry
