Huzzahh! - 60 days in
 

Today is 60 sober days. Its the third time ive been 60 sober in probably 15 years.... it feels good.

This past year I've been dealing with crippling anxiety and panic attacks (agoraphobic) and I'm so very happy to report that the most of that is gone now. I still fear having panic attacks but I'm finding myself doing things that only a few months ago seemed impossible. I can honestly see some light at the end of the tunnel and returning to a normal life.
Its pretty awesome.

I wish I could say its been easy but there's been a lot of tough times the past two months and I know the upcoming month will be challenging since Im returning to work - one of impossible things Im now looking forward to doing - but its worth it.

Congratulations on 60 days, EJP.

For me, the anxiety continued to lessen all through that first year - but by the six month mark I was feeling pretty good and anxiety was way down.

You sound really good and hopeful and committed to your new sober life!

I hope the fear/anxiety continues to subside and it should as you get further away from that last drink.
