Month 6 of PAWs compleat

I'm now into month 7 of my recovery .
As you know if you've read my threads Ive been going through hell
PAWS has not let up much at all and it has been the worst 6 months of my life , I don't know how ive been getting through it .

So far all the reading about PAWs has been spot on , they say it peaks around month 6 !! Jesus they wernt wrong , it was like the first 2 months all over again , a thought I was going mentle and ended up back at ER and the Drs 3 times .

So far the paws symptoms come in cycles.
It's like this for me .
A few days normal , then insomnia , the depression then full paws with foggy head, panic , feelings of doom , can't concentrate, stress sensative then anxetiy .

I do have some good news , the last 8 days ive felt normal and good , the first and longest time in all of six months so it is a little improve ment .

I now feel the wired insomnia stage coming on , so I belive the cycles will care on but I hope the good days get more .

I really hope I haven't damaged my brain beyond repair .

Glad to hear you have has some good days as of late! Have you seen a psychiatrist or counselor to see if there may be another cause for all these symptoms? Anxiety can play real havoc with our minds and even cause physical symptoms.

Been there buddy. Keep up the good work. I realized how much damage I had done because the paws was so bad. Gave me a good reason to stay sober. It got better slowly but surely.

The good days got longer for me--it was a huge relief.

Keep building on your six months and I think you'll feel great

I was also worried about permanent damage, but after a good 11/2 years or so,
I found I was more mentally sharp than I had been in many years, so have faith your body can heal and recover.
