I finally realized that I could never drink again. I always deep down decided after being sober that I can go back to moderate. I know its not a good idea

I tried to moderate too and I guess I had to try what I had to try. point is, I am now in AA so like I heard, whatever gets us here

LOL i was just going to start a thread called "i think i got this" and ask the question at what point did you say "I think i got this" or how many times have you said that along the way.

At almost 4 years sober I've thought "i think i got this" a handful of times. Kinda like i'm walken a straight line once in a while I wobble and go "i think i got this" and then i get back straight. Other times I think "i think i got this" so all i gotta do is keep doing what i've been doing and its gonna be ok? Ok I think i can handle that! especially since well I've been handling that!

almost like now and then I lack confidence in myself.

QuietHero, let me offer my congratulations. This is simply huge. If you have come to that point where you can see all the opportunities and options that open for you if and only if you get and stay sober, then I have great faith in you and your success.
