Day 3 Update

Almost done with Day 3. Had some slight urges today, but they eventually passed. Just got some chores and work done today.
Had a difficult time sleeping last night but got through it.

Weight Loss goal started at 88 days to lose 23 pounds.
Now at 86 days to lose 17.5 pounds, very excited about this progress.

When I was drinking and smoking weed, I was gaining on average 2 pounds each day!!!

Great work on day 3! Don't get too worried if your weight fluctuates a bit, mine went up and down but overall I definitely lost weight in the long run.

Feeling some strong cravings right now, but my dinner on its way should take care of that. Just have to remember not to drink at all costs.

Thanks. Feeling better now that I have eaten. Now I will probably just do some studying, watch some tv, and take it easy for the rest of the night.

Hi and congratulations with your sober period.

H.A.L.T. = HUNGRY, ANGRY, LONELY, AND TIRED.

Be aware these are common triggers for us to drink.

BE WELL

Day 3 is often a tough one so congratulate yourself on getting through this day. Your weight loss sounds great and I hope you continue on the road of recovery and good health.

Had a huge meltdown today concerning an issue with my husband and mother in law. I felt like driving away and drinking over the whole thing, but I didn't. Instead, took a few deep breaths, composed myself, drove home, and then went to my parent's house for dinner.

The situation has now calmed down and resolved itself, so I am glad that I did not drink and am 2 hours away from Day 5. This showed me that I can stay sober despite adversity, something my husband did not think I could do (as my past behavior would always turn to drinking during a time of crisis).
