Day 2 Update
Well, I have made it halfway through Day 2 sober from alcohol. Felt great to get a good night's rest without waking up feeling anxious, restless, and depressed.
I started my weight loss goal yesterday at 88 days to lose 23 pounds.
I am now at 87 days to lose 20.5 pounds.
Yesterday, I just worked and took it easy. Got stuff done like mother's day cards and other chores. Today I have work, and then I have my GA meeting from 7-8.

Dear Justbreathe
Leaving alcohol will help you to lose weight certaunly.
I personaly lost weight!
Besides to stay away started doing sports.
You are in the right direction.
Is hard at the beginning but you will get used to living FREE.
Wish you the best

Thank you all for the encouragement. I feel as if something is different this time, only time will tell. I feel more optimistic and believe I have a plan. I am also loving my individual therapist on Saturday. She used to be the director of a substance abuse program in the county I live in, so she knows her stuff. She told me not to give up on her when she could tell I was doubting the process. I also feel strong in my gambling sobriety, which is now I think around 14 days. It has been helpful for me to drink Diet Coke without the caffeine. Probably not the best drink, but it is better than alcohol right now and satiates that whole process of feeling the need to drink something.

I did several days and felt great. Really frigging great. Drank tonight and feel like ****. I know I'll feel like **** tomorrow.
Starting again tomorrow. Keep doing what you're doing. Don't have any starting again tomorrows. It's not worth it

Thank you. I am tired of how alcohol made me feel that night and the next day. Just can't take it anymore. I am ready to head in a new direction with a new life. As they say, I am sick and tired of being sick and tired.
