117 Days

So as the title suggests, this is my 117th day of sobriety. Cravings aren't as intense as they were during the first 60 days or so, though they still come around. My energy seems to be returning a wee bit every day. My ability to focus on individual tasks may be improving slightly, too.

In earlier threads, I described my frustration with a work position I had accepted, but had been unable to start due to a significant delay in processing a background check. I was (and have been) out of work for over a month now. Having no income and a certain number of expenses is extremely stressful, but I was able to resist urges to soothe myself with alcohol. I started going back to church a few weeks ago, which has been helpful in its own way. It's been a long month, but I'm happy to report that I start working at my new job on Monday. The background check came back this morning. At laaaaaast...

Thank you to everyone who offered kind words while I was struggling with unemployment and feelings of being lost. I check these forums several times every day and they're always a big help in my sober quest. I hope to be of as much help to all of you as you've been to me.

Thanks Again,
Scrappy
