clear blood

Hello. My question is how long its take for body to clear alcohol from blood stream system totally? Some resources says its 40 days, is it true?

The only way to truly find out would be to get a blood test, everyone processes alcohol differently. Why do you ask?

I always thought it would be completely out of your system in 7 days. At least non detectable after that time. I'm sure other will post with their $.02.

I think you first need to differentiate between alcohol in your system and withdrawal because they are two different things.

Alcohol by itself leaves the body within a few hours or days depending on how much you had to drink. After that, it's gone from your blood if you continue to abstain. However, depending on how often and how much you drank, you could possibly still suffer from withdrawal symptoms, which is your body craving more alcohol because it has been used to it for so long.
