Celebration and worry
Celebration and worry
Hello all,
Mixed feelings today.
Tomorrow I celebrate three years sober (and very happily so, wi only very occasional cravings). But today I also heard that my brother (who also battles with alcohol) has been diagnosed with oral cancer. The likelihood is that alcohol played a role in that, as heavy drinking is one of the key risk factors for oral cancer. For those that do, please say a prayer for my brother, K.

I will most certainly pray, Michael; I am so sorry to hear this news.
Congratulations on three years of sobriety; I hope that you can take some time to recognize and celebrate your wonderful accomplishment.
