daily reminders
daily reminders
Hi all. I woke up this morning so nauseous and fed up with feeling hungover that I wrote an 8 point reminder to help me stay sober:
1. My liver, in all probability, is damaged and scarred so much it is possibly reducing how much vitamins are being absorbed. I need to heal my liver.
2. My intestines ache after drinking. This is a sign telling me not to drink.
3. Drinking ages my skin and hair, noticeably.
4. I am guaranteeing a bleak future by drinking.
5. I have no time for self-betterment if I am hungover.
6. When I drink my gym efforts are wasted.
7. Drinking may take my mind of negative thinking but it guarantees negative health.
8. By drinking I am short changing my future partner's happiness with me (I am currently single), as I may not be around longer.
I know there are many others on the forums worst off than me. I should be grateful I still have some health. I want to make this day count and really try to commit to not drinking from now on. Thank you for reading this and good luck to you all in your own efforts

i couldnt pound daily reminders into my head hard enough. i have such an incredible forgetful memory that will lead me down the path of destruction so easily if i dont stay on top of it.
I think you got the right idea doing daily reminders. I found them to be REALLY important.

Thank you for your responses. My plan is to eat clean, take exercise everyday and read my reminders first thing in the morning and when I get in from work. I need to also start going to meetings so I'm going to look into scheduling meetings around exercise or vice versa.
