today my 24 sober days using meds and tomorrow is my visit to the doctor

but im still sick since i quit , flu, cold , sore throat . could the physical withdrawals take this time.

Are you sure you aren't sick? not from the alcohol withdrawal but just sick... by this time you should be past any physical symptoms.

You are in early recovery. We didn't get our drinking out of control in only one night, it took me years to get really bad....I wasn't going to heal in one day, or even in less than one month.

My body was a mess for a few months, in fact there was a progression of physical and mental challenges my first 18 months of sobriety. What I knew was that I wasn't drinking/drugging (weed) and things were healing. I was told to give time time and to heal well. A friend even gave me a clock with a note that said "Give time time."

well im not sure , i think im sick not from withdrawals , but the flu should subside after 4 days to week . not like this . may be the sickness came in all of sudden with the withdrawals and thats what happened

I'm sorry you are feeling so awful.

I have to admit, it took about 80 days until I started to feel truly better.

Don't give up. The good part it on its way. You are healing.
