thats for sure. If i wake up sore and tired its because i exercised too hard the prior day no becuase i drank like a fish the night before. Its not because i'm unhealhty its not because I ate garbage food or poisoned myself with drugs and alcohol.
I dont wake up each morning wishing the snooze button on the alarm clock was a revolver. I dont even use an alarm clock anymore.

Riding, relaxing on and being vitalized by a pink cloud that I couldn't even see let alone get on when drinking. Joy in the blessings, no matter how big or small, and a life filled with gratitude.

The bags under my eyes are getting smaller, the deep down happiness I know my partner is feeling that I'm not drinking, not waking up in the night desperate for water and a pee, going to sleep quickly and feeling rested in the day, the extra cash in my bank account. This is a few from my first week of being sober, and hopefully many more too come.

Someone coming to my house unexpectedly and I don't have to hide the alcohol under the sofa and then having to speak to them and feeling that they know I'm drinking in the afternoon.
Answering the phone after a certain time is similar.
It was just so embarrassing and a kick in the guts of my self-esteem.
