Erectile dysfunction

I was just wondering if anyone here experienced erectile dysfunction or low libido while they were drinking and if the condition improved once they stopped. I tried to have sex with my girlfriend last night and was very embarrassed to have this problem. I last drank the night before but drank heavily and drank the night before that as well.

It's certainly possible, but you should see a doctor to be certain. Drinking can cause all kinds of problems.

Drinking in excess is a common cause of this problem. Many of us who don't drink are pretty happy about not having to deal with this issue! Maybe you can give the bottle a rest and work on your health for a while?

That is the plan. I certainly never want to experience that again. Do you know if it is reversible and/or how long it takes to get back to normal?

alcohol is an anesthetic/depressant. it also lowers testosterone (quite a bit if regularly consumed).

whether that is the root cause or not, IT AINT HELPIN!

I do have a Drs appointment for Wednesday and I haven't had a drink since Sunday. I'm just hoping this is temporary.

Alcohol lowers T. Which can cause loss of libido and impotence.

Still do but it's hormonal damage from steroid abuse in the prime of my life.

So it was anabolic steroids that caused your problem and not alcohol.

Anabolic steroids killed my libido and dick. Age 25 became an alcoholic after refusal of treatment by many doctors.

I'll be interested to see what the dr tells me Wednesday. This has been all the motivation I needed to quit drinking.

I have had this happen to me but not for the same cause. I'm schizophrenic and when I was first put on my new antipsychotic I couldn't get off. Then I could then nothing come out which was pretty cool. After time it went back to normal but I do have a lower sex drive. It. You could have low T my friend had this problem his was very low so his doctor prescribed him T so he's back to normal. I was always really horny in the mornings after a night of drinking so everybody different.

Not to be too graphic, my problem was quite the opposite. If I drank too much, I could never...umm...finish.

Right, anabolic steroids killed my sex drive. The reason I drank was because of lowered T.

Well I'm pretty sure it was the alcohol that severely lowered mine. I wouldn't say "killed" but close enough. I'm just hoping it will return as I lay off the drink. Perhaps the dr will prescribe me testosterone replacement therapy or even ed medication, if only temporary.
