I have been Struggling with alcoholism for about ten years now, i have tried to quit before but also came back. Well my wife is going through some tough medical thigs right now. It was what actually caused me to snap this last time. As of last night it was 2 pints and 4 24s of platinum. I cant do this anymore. I dont want to send the wrong message to my kids, and i need to be there more for my wife. So im ready to try again . Hope i can do it this time.

Welcome Tear. You'll find a lot of support here at SR. You may want to consider consulting with your doctor before you quit cold turkey ( if that is your plan ) as withdrawals can potentially be dangerous, especially if you have been drinking a lot for a long time.
The last time i quit the doctor put me on librium, i had quit for about 4 months then started drinking pretty heavy the last couple months, i hope i will be alright.thanks for the warm welcome guys, i appreciate it

Hi and welcome Tear.
There is a lot of good free helping words on this forum to guide us down the path of sobriety.
Something that I repeat often that made sense to me is: If I don’t pick up the first drink one day at a time in a row, I won’t have to TRY to get sober AGAIN.
BE WELL

You'll make it.
Remember this, though. Maybe write a descriptive post about it. It's a great motivator when your addiction starts saying (next week) "Oh, one is okay."
If you don't pick up the first drink you'll never go through this again.
