2 weeks down and what got me through

Just wanted to tell what got me through the last 2 weeks in case it helps someone else. Luckily I avoided severe withdrawal, however I have had extreme fatigue, brain fog and headaches. I rested as much as possible and immersed myself in audiobooks. I tried to listen to The Big Book but it just wasn't working for me. I randomly chose Drinking, A Love Affair by Caoline Knapp from iTunes and boy does she hit every one of my buttons! What an amazing summation of her life as an alcoholic!

I laid in bed with earphones on for hours listening to her story, sometimes dozing, just allowing myself to rest and absorb what I was listening to and think about the mirrors in my life. It was a powerful experience.

Great work on 2 weeks gtg. It is always encouraging to find someone or something that we "connect" with in our recovery, glad you have done so. Use it to build a plan moving forward.

Thanks, GTG, and congratulations on two sober weeks.

Isn't it great when something 'speaks' to us.
