Is this possible?
I've only been to 3 meetings so far and they've been wonderful. I've made some great contacts who I've been texting with daily. But what's amazing me, and perhaps it's not possible, but I'm learning things already. Things are clicking. I know I have a huge way to go, of course, but I'm even beginning to implement some things I've learnt. I feel a strange sense of peace even after 3 meetings. Is this possible?
Embrace those wonderful feelings and
those baby steps of achievements and
accomplishments. Your journey living
a life in recovery is just beginning as
you gain experiences, strengths and hopes
each day you remain sober.

Keep close and keep doing what your doing....Yes its possible, its real and it is meant to be!
If things are falling into place just let them and keep the open mind that you have right now.....take things slowly and it will all fall into place.......an older friend of mine once told me.....
'learning to live sober is like learning a new language, it wont happen overnight, but if you learn little by little through time, it will work!'
much love to you, your post is a breath of fresh air

Thanks guys. I was about to eat a big bag of crisps (chips) but then I caught myself, probably trying to change how I felt about myself by eating. I don't need to do that. So I put them down and went about my evening.
From the first day I arrived here on SR, I began to learn from other people, things I hadn't even thought about, new perspectives, new techniques, my horizons were expanded!!
Sobriety is a learning curve but there are others that have been making it happen long before us, so soak it all up and apply some of it to your own plan/life!!
Great stuff Sarahlou!!

I've begun to learn I can only change how I react. I can't change other people. I've learnt to try and keep things in the here and now. And I'm finding it easier to believe in a higher power.
You're miles ahead I where I was with the number of meeting you have. There is much wisdom in the rooms. Grab all you can.
I enjoy your posts. You're open to new information and shows you have an open mind. I wish I could have developed that a little sooner. Please post as much as you wish. It helps many of us to remember where we came from.
The dreams are very normal in the beginning. Nothing to worry about.
