Carded

I'm 37 and I still get carded. I've been sober for months but I usually go out on beer/alcohol runs when we have gatherings.

My cousin had her birthday last night and I was tasked to go out and pick up some alcohols since I wasn't drinking and everyone else was wasted.

I placed my wallet in my jacket and my jacket was left back at the house but I had twenty dollars on me and the woman at the register wouldn't let me buy the case.

I even alternated to make sure I didn't get her the second time around but it was a failed effort.

It was quite embarrassing to go back to the party empty handed.

Sure, it's flattering that people still card you at 37 but it's also very annoying that you have to make two trips. lol. Anyone else ever have to deal with this?

Hey this is an awesome excuse! Sorry I didn't get your beer, but I forgot my ID

It's the law now. I saw a 74 yr. old get carded 2 days ago. It is the only way to ensure under-age alcohol sales do not occur--not so much a stroke.
