30 plus days sober
hey fellow SR's
just a few thoughts regarding my current attempt at long term sobriety
its been very hard this time
have had 7 2 and 1 years sobriety in the last 13 years so cant really complain
some people don't ever get it so I consider myself fortunate.
it plays for keeps and the years leading up to my first recovery and 3 years relapsing have rammed home to me that this plays for keeps
so I have to as well
have commenced retraining for a different career path
left a relationship that I came to the conclusion was destroying my soul
daily vigilance in regards to my illness
scared od drinking again
it looms over my life like a spectre and sometimes I feel like bambi trying to fend off Godzilla
just for today I am sober though.......
