Four weeks today
It's day 29. So, alcohol free for four weeks. Last time I got that long was almost a year ago. Before that, years went by without an extended break. Quitsville for good. It is a bit disconcerting how long it takes to bounce back at this point. But I'm not a kid anymore and haven't been for awhile. I started having withdrawals a long time ago, and I don't ever, ever want to go through that again. Hell no, clinging from one second to the next hoping it will get better.
Today I felt good enough to jog in place a bit inside to some upbeat music and I hope to get back in the habit of brisk walks.
Though I did get bloodwork done at a clinic, I want to be able to go to my regular doctor and wow him... last he saw me I was obese and had only taken a three week break from drinking.
Now I am within a healthy weight range. But I still drank through the weight loss. I want to be sober and trim, I want to be a success story with this and turn it around.

Sounds like you're already well on the way to 'wow'ing yourself as well as your doctor!

I like your attitude and congrats on the 4 weeks.
