Sobering up

I know this is probably a stupid question, Seeing my kids real soon to make an attempt to explain all this and that I will be away for a month. I'm pretty hammered, Does coffee really help?

Don't drink too much coffee. I would suggest that after talking with them, try to relax somehow. Get some sleep if you can, if not just do something mellow, listen to relaxing music, watch movies or something like that. Get yourself packed and ready for trip, you're almost there already

Only time helps, coffee is a myth, the liver needs to process alcohol and can only do so with time and at it's own pace.

What's the plan moving forward GetMeOut, because you and I both know this is not the way forward?!!

Alcohol and caffeine both dehydrate. Staying hydrated will help you feel better. If its coffee or tea you like in your water, make it decaf.

I did. Lots of tears were shed but I think (hope) they understand. I warned my oldest that she is going to be exposed to alcohol soon and to avoid it like the plague. This thing tends to run in the family.

It sure does; it runs in mine with very few exceptions.

God, I love my kids! They are so brilliant. Both are in the AIG program. I would definitely give my worthless life for them. I hope they achieve all the things I neglected because of booze.

You seem to be on the right track. You can still turn your life around and make it worthwhile. It all comes down to what you do with this rehab opportunity.

I'm scared of it to be honest. Gotta get up at 4:30AM. That part doesn't make me happy either. It's freezing cold here and I HATE the dark, So, I'm not looking forward to the trip to the airport.

Or the long flight.

Can you believe my ex-wife's husband is the one driving me to the airport? Some people are just too good and I've not been one of them.
