Personality Test - Myers Briggs
Decided to give the test in the OP link a shot:
INTP
Introvert(100%) iNtuitive(88%) Thinking(62%) Perceiving(44%)
You have strong preference of Introversion over Extraversion (100%)
You have strong preference of Intuition over Sensing (88%)
You have distinct preference of Thinking over Feeling (62%)
You have moderate preference of Perceiving over Judging (44%)
The T is lower than it has been in the past (I think both N and T were a bit over 75%) which I expected from the changes I've experienced being older as the affects of the shadow increase with age but am surprised that the P also dropped... interesting. I don't recall the exact number but it was over 50% when I was younger. I wonder what bearing age and gender have. I/E has also changed greatly. I used to be something like 1% introvert. Maybe its changed so much because I'm retired living in a rural area?Much more reclusive now.

More than one personality type may apply to you: ISFP and INFP. I feel like parts of both apply. Some parts of both don't apply at all.
You have moderate preference of Introversion over Extraversion (33%)
You have marginal or no preference of Sensing over Intuition (1%)
You have moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (25%)
You have slight preference of Perceiving over Judging (22%)
Not that strong in any of them I think.
I agree with whoever said it - more than half the questions didn't deserve a yes or no answer and lots didn't make sense to me. I kept thinking how differently I would have answered just 5 years ago. 20 years ago, forgeddaboutit.
I've taken this several times in the past. I can never remember what I got in the past. I know the I is always consistent although I'm sure it's less strong than in years past.

I think it's more the forum effect than the alcoholic-addict effect, because in AA anyway there are pretty many extraverts. It does seem like the extraverted alcoholic has a different experience and a different way of recovery than the introvert. I don't know about the other traits. Myers-Briggs traits aren't really well validated, except introversion/extraversion is very stable.
I love this link that Thumper posted in another thread.
Thanks PaperDolls! I found this quite interesting... my bolds
Research on INTP
Interesting facts about the INTP:
On personality trait measures, score as Candid, Ingenious, Complicated, Independent, and Rebellious
More likely than other types to study a foreign language
Most frequent type among college students committing alcohol and drug policy violations
Have lowest level of coping resources of all the types (with ISTPs)
One of types least likely to believe in a higher spiritual power
Highest of all types in career dissatisfaction (with INFPs)
In school, have lower grades than would be predicted from aptitude scores
More likely than average to complete engineering programs
Personal values include Autonomy, Freedom, and Independence
Overrepresented among working MBA students
Commonly found in science and technical occupations
I also gleaned from that site why famous female INTPs are seldom listed... they're only 2% of the population. Nice to see a female finally listed somewhere... Marie Curie... only female I've seen so far.

Got ENFJ.. I am always skeptical of personality tests but like to take them as I find them entertaining and fun to compare results, but much like MIrecovery, I too hate to admit that these results seemed to be spot on.
Even kind of made me feel a bit bad they seemed so spot on. I seem to be the enabler of the personality types.. Not so suprising I suppose.

for the heck of it, I took the first linked 'test'. and score ENTJ as opposed to ENFP using the second one.
How can I answer a question about soap operas when I have never watched one?
38/38/25/1 using the YES/NO approach. Totally subjective...

Wow! When I first voted, I put down my old familiar result from 20 years ago, because I kind of liked being an INFP.
I just now took the quiz mentioned in the OP, and I got almost the total opposite result: ISTJ! I guess I must have really changed in 20 years! But have I grown?
Is it good to be like Cliff from Cheers or Puddleglum from The Chronicles of Narnia?

I am an infj as well. How strange that less than 1% of the population is this type, But here it's currently 13% ... That is a startling correlation! Infj has been said to be the most difficult personality to fit into the world with and that they often feel like "aliens" compared to everyone else. Could explain some things
