Without a drink.
I cannot believe I have done it. I have read over my first thread here from 1/1/12 and my life is so different now and so much better.
I have almost completed a psychotherapy degree.
I have wrote a book and am hoping to get it published.
I have been in the best relationship of my life for almost a year now with a beautiful man inside and out that treats me the way I should be treated.
I have got rid of numerous toxic friends.
Quitting alcohol was the best thing I ever did. Good luck to everyone that is on the same journey.
You can do it!!!!!

Thank you all so much. I never realised the potential in me while I was drinking. Once I quit it, I became who I was always meant to be.
I got so much wonderful support here when I started out. I remember reading of people who had reached a year sober and I was in awe. I was grateful for my first week.
We owe it to ourselves to realise our full potential. That is not possible when drinking.
Stay strong, friends.

Every day I am happy I no longer drink. It had totally taken over my life. When anyone drinks to excess, it changes so many things.
Being free of it has allowed me to be who I was meant to be. I wake up grateful for every day and what it may bring, instead of waking up with regrets.
There is no comparison. A sober life is the best life and we all owe ourselves the best life we can have.
Best wishes all. I came here unsure I could do it - and I did it. We all can do it if we really want to. And that is the key. You have to really WANT it.
xx
