Drunk Family Christmas

So I'm hiding in my room on Christmas Eve avoiding my entire family here from all over the country. Their all smashed especially my 22 year old nephew who is making a complete a$$ of himself slamming Smirnoff and orange soda. His mom, my sister finds it quite funny. She can clean up the orange puke later.

Oh well. At least I won't have a bloody head in the morning. Can't figure out what I enjoyed so much about drinking all those many years.

Merry Dysfunctional Christmas!

Merry Christmas! The emphasis on booze at Christmas is all pervading amongst my family and friends. Thankfully my mother is choosing to be abstemious this year. I can't believe this time two years ago, I was in a blackout at this time, even before the Christmas meal!
Here's to a hangover free Boxing Day!

Drinking is just a waste of time. Glad you're sober. Merry Christmas!

Ok only one still up. Made it through unscathed. Some went home others are staying until Sunday but crashed. Today was mildly stressful but not as stupid as last night. Grandsons made me smile.

Now that I've had a clear head for a while I just can't figure out the attraction I or anyone else ever had to intentionally becoming a blubbering idiot. No wonder the holidays stressed the hell out of my wife all these years.

I think I will save for an out of town excursion for the wife and I next year. Time to ditch the tradition or ditch my sanity. I don't care how much time I get under my belt watching people get intoxicated will probably never be enjoyable for me.
I know. I'm a hypocrite.

You said it esinger (not referring to the hypocrite bit); it gets harder to spend time around drunk people as sober time goes by. Great idea about taking a break with your wife next Christmas. Give her a rest and have a wonderful peaceful time together.

That's it . It ceases to be fun but you can't just let it go. When you get to this point it's time to get help and break free. Wish you the best with your struggle. You can beat this.
Merry Christmas

This is exactly what you do.
You crank up the tunes on the stereo as loud as you can at 6am, and do a work out to it. Hahahahahaha that would be so funny!

Yeah, The Harley has been sitting in the garage without being fired up for a couple of months. Probably should give it a start in the morning to charge up the battery.
