44 Days Today!
Well, I have made it to 44 days. Had a bit of family drama yesterday, as I got a bit overinvolved in a text sent to my husband by his family (they can be ignorant and insensitive at times.) But the point is that I was able to get through the drama without drinking, and I even got through my grandpa's funeral today as well.
Feeling content tonight. So happy that I am sober, as I am pretty sure there would be many problems in my life right now if I was still drinking. It was not too long ago that I was going to work and unable to focus or concentrate, and I am just thankful I stopped drinking before anyone said anything to me.
And that is just the thing about sobriety. As long as we stay sober, the 12 steps offer us a way to work through the problem no matter how bad it may be.
