Living with myself
I really hope you do something about this Noro. I can feel your frustration. The only way you will ever get better is to put the drink down, it's the root cause of everything bad in your life and was in my life too.
You can do it, it won't be easy at first but your life will get a million times better.
Make a plan and get on with it.
Thoughts and prayers are with you.

I appreciate that, mavrick. I've made plans for a ride to an AA meeting shortly (it's cold lol). I've looked into it, and although I'm not drunk, I've had a few drinks today and checked out some information on this forum, and it appears that it's okay as long as I'm not loud or obnoxious. So I hope it goes alright. If not, then it's another lesson learned, I guess. I feel like I'm in decent composure, and I feel like that's where I should be.
Thank you for your compassion. I've had a difficult time, and you all have helped me. I'm going to check out this meeting. I don't know if I'll speak, but I guess I'll hear people out and see if it helps me.

You don't have to say anything in the meeting. My advise would be to just listen and you will start to identify with the members that share in the meeting. Pick up a copy of The Big Book and start reading it when you get home.
Stay away from the first drink and I promise you, your life will start getting better.

Noro life will continue to be horrifying if you continue to drink. Its a disease. It will destroy you from every angle. That is horrifying. Just quit drinking. Dont try to quit, just quit. No more horror. No more drowning. Life will become manageable. The horror will disappear. Trust us on this one. No more guilt either. You will have nothing to hide. Its called sobriety. And you deserve it just as much as we do.

The meeting turned out horrible. I went there after a few drinks. I didn't speak, with the exception of a few very short conversations before and after. I know that AA is helpful for many people. And for everyone who finds that helpful, I hope you keep going and remain well. I don't mean to just decline the idea after one experience. I've been through a few different places. It doesn't seem to work.
