Welcome back and be kind to yourself. Do not be afraid. You are taking steps that actually lead somewhere. Isn't it nice to wake up with a clear head every morning? I've relapsed several times and thank the Lord, I have made it back each time.
Awesome on 1 month - that's the hardest! Keep doing what you're doing it sounds like you are coming to terms with how serious your problem is. Took me a couple of detoxes to get it right, but I never did what I was supposed to do after them (meetings, sponsor, steps, counseling). It's a lot of work and it takes time. I can say it's better. Some days are not good, but it is better than when I was drinking. Great job.
Reading everyone's responses has put a huge smile on my face.
SR sure knows how to make a man feel welcomed again!
But yeah, its sure feels good to be back posting here.
I'm going to take it easy for the next month and just focus on my early recovery/health, maybe even longer.
That was quite the scare, so I don't care about anything right now but building a solid foundation for my recovery. It's working.
All you guys are awesome. Thank you.

Obviously now, there is no doubt in my mind as to what I am.
I admitted it everyday now.
The one month is huge. I didn't believe I was getting sober until I had a month. It sounds like you are doing everything right. Just think, we never have to be hungover again! Sober life is actually much easier. I didn't realize how much work the drinking life took to maintain until I stopped.
