At End of Day 3

Feeling okay right now. I am trying to be aware at all times what is going on with me. As I came home tonight from work, I noticed that I used alcohol as a source of positive reinforcement (something to look forward to). I now need to break this habit since I have quit drinking. So, I just came home and cleaned up, and I also bought myself a little food treat on the way home. I think part of drinking is a habit that I need to break. Yes, I believe alcoholism is a disease, but within that disease is a bunch of habits that I developed around drinking (for example, coming home and having a beer). I think that the longer I stay away from alcohol, the weaker these habits will become and the less difficult it will be to stay sober.

Well done on day 3, JustBreathe.
Yes, there are lots of habits associated with drinking.
But you can replace them with other habits.

Keep up the good work.

Congratulations on Day 3, justbreathe. Drinking when I came home in the evening became a terrible habit - one that definitely needed to be broken.

Keep on, justbreathe; it does get easier.

Feeling pretty well on Day 4. This is the longest I have had in awhile. Watching my sister's dog while my husband is at work, and just got back from a walk with the dog. Also was able to do some exercising this morning. Just trying to keep on adding the hours while the cravings get less and less.
