Day 32 - So Far So Good
As I spoke about in a previous thread, 32 days ago I suffered three withdrawal seizures and spent three days in hospital.
So now I'm 32 days completely clean.
I'm getting no real cravings and I'm not missing alcohol. For the past year or so, the only reason I was really drinking was to simply stop the withdrawals and prevent seizures.
I don't think I posted the pictures of what I looked like after my seizures on here, but if anything is a warning against drinking to much then it's those pictures.
They are pretty horrific so I don't really want to just post them straight on here and get moaned at by the moderators, so if anyone does want to see them let me know.
I keep them on my phone and quite like showing people to be honest. Oddly, it looked worse than it was because it wasn't really painful.
Other than that i'm seeing a Relapse Prevention girl. I've got four one-on-ones with her, then four group meetings. Then after that it goes to another stage (i can't remember what it was called) which is 8 one-on-ones and 8 group meetings.
I'm also attending other groups.
I had a relapse prevention meeting yesterday and one bit was to list the pro's and con's of drinking.
I'm telling you, it's very very difficult to list many pro's!!

It's not really a case of getting 'moaned at', Matt (thanks for that characterisation btw - LOL)
Not everybody wants to see those kinds of pics - and you may decide down the track you actually don't want them on the web for parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, future wives, children or employers to see.
Might they be a deterrent to some?
Possibly, but not to everyone.
If anyone really wants to see your pain anguish and terror writ large in a JPEG, they can PM you.

Well I have it as a note on Facebook and i'm pretty careful who I accept to my Facebook page.
I'd be more worried about some of the statuses i've used in the past!
