29 days to a year!
Haven't posted in a while, just passed my 11 months AND started a new job this week (the first full time position since before I got sober)!
The position is for a very big wine brand. Wine biz is one of the major industries here in wine country.
I've avoided looking for work in this area because 1) I used to drink too much wine (and beer) and 2) then I quit drinking and didn't think I could handle the temptations.
But as I rounded 11 months the need for steady income and the need to move forward won out. There is no wine drinking at work, but ppl do make it sound quite fine when they sell it on the phones.
So that's the update: working, conquering fears, and sorting stuff out to the best of my sober ability! A nice step in the right direction.

Congrats on the time and job. I know when I am around drugs or alcohol for legit reasons my thoughts can sometimes change and I find talking about this is a big help. I have found posting on SR to be quite useful, as well as meetings in 3D. Perhaps this might help ensure your AV is not at work in your life?

Congratulations to you sober sister! It is really hard to believe we made it this far isn't it? It was overwhelming to me the other day and still is. Congrats on the job also. I just hope the company culture isn't one that would make you feel in any way obligated to drink. Here's hoping the next 29 days go great!
