Hey Hawk--just saw your 9/25 post. I had a rough September myself (and had the same feeling of being an annoying broken record when I came back here ) but am working hard to see it out the right way. Sending you all best wishes for the same. Just a note of solidarity, know how frustrating and depressing it is, hope you're doing ok today. Check in and let us know.

Thank you for all the support

I am doing well so far. On day four. I've been pretty quite on SR but checking in everyday and reading. I've got really into the Smart recovery program. It has really clicked with me so far. One thing it's made me realize is my way of thinking needs to change. My thoughts are almost always negative. Even if I'm not acknowledging them every minute they are such a powerful influence on my actions. It's a challenging thing to do, but necessary if I'm ever going to live the happy sober life i'd prefer to!

Today was a great day, beautiful hike in the mountains enjoying the last remnants of summer, coffee with an old friend and a great dinner with the family.

Great news Hawk. Love the positive thinking awareness. I'm realizing the same thing, how regularly I respond to things with negative thoughts/energy. It came as a surprise because I'm pretty sure I used to be generally positive/proactive/optimistic. Don't know when it flipped! But it's so valuable to think about. You sound good.
