Good News and Bad News
Bad News:
My contract ended pretty abruptly so I am now unemployed.
I don't know that I'll be able to afford to move back into my condo any time soon.
Good News:[LIST][*]My sister had a baby and asked me to be in the birthing room. I got to see my niece being born.[*]I was able to contribute financially to the cost of her getting a private room so that some one could be with her 24/7.
She lets me feed and hold her baby.
I didn't drink over losing my job.
I didn't lose my job over drinking.
My contract was only supposed to be 3 months and I lasted 1 year and 2 months.
I didn't take a vacation so I got a year and 2 months worth of vacation pay.
I am **% sure I'm eligible for unemployment now.
I was organized enough to apply the day after my contract ended.
I found out I can still have a part time job and be on unemployment until I find a full time job.
I caught myself stress eating and I've joined a gym hopefully I can lose the weight this time instead of gaining more.

I'm a big believer in the whole doors opening, doors closing analogy.
In this hyper-active workaholic world we live in, time is far more precious than money (at least for me...)
It sounds like as that door closed (gently, through no fault of your own), the opening door means time washing over you like fresh air.
Enjoy the opportunity to grow and connect! What a lovely gift...
