I think we can inherit biological setup where we have a tendency to alcoholism. I can see it in my self and one of my sons – not that he drinks often he just drinks differently than his brother when he does; it satisfies him in a different way.
It is not about predestination but we have strengths and challenges in our biological setup.
I am not blank page where I can choose my story or destiny. I have a biological and social inheritance and I think I will do better if I understand and accept the strengths and weaknesses that are given my.
I do not have to accept them but it helps to understand the starting point.
