1 month SOBER!!

I am almost a full month sober, this Saturday will be 30 days. My son is going to be born any day now and I decided when my fiance was 36 weeks pregnant, I would stop drinking in case she had to go to the hospital and I would feel like a complete dick if I was drunk and couldn't driver her. I feel good about my progress, but I am always having cravings, but I fight them and move on.

Congratulations on becoming a new father! You couldn't give your son a better gift than a sober father who is fully there for him.

Congratulations also on your sober time! 30 days is fantastic!!

Well done Dean. The cravings will diminish as you get more sober time. But if you feel an urge post here and someone will be here to talk you through it. Good luck with the newborn, being sober when she is born will be a wonderful thing.

Day 32 here..... lets keep on going. The cravings and urges always pass thankgod. A child and family is worth cleaning up for. After a while you will feel so great it will be for yourself also.... yay
