So sad. I personally believe that most alcoholics have other mental disorders; such as depression... that we (I) medicated with alcohol.... Recovery is about so much more than just not drinking. But, seems to me it is quite difficult to get the correct treatment.
Robin's description of likening "thinking we can drink" to "looking over the edge of a skyscraper thinking we can fly" is spot on.....
I hope his soul is at peace.

"you will violate your standards quicker than you can lower them" ugh... that one hits home. He left off, "followed by yet another day full of self loathing because you just KNOW you're better than how you're living/acting."
